Log loader

Description

The log loader moves logs towards the logs furnace and introduces them to it.

LOG WASHER

Description

Surface cleaning of the aluminium log to improve the heating process inside the furnace, log by means of two systems:

  • Orbital log brusher
  • By water

LOG HEATING FURNACE

Description

The Log Heating Furnace heats logs transported by the pusher from the Log Loader. We have developed four units that incorporate different heating technologies:

  • Kautec Conventional: traditional gas furnace with the possibility to work with NG or LPG.
  • Kautec Hybrid: Electric Air Convection Heaters for the first part of the process. Annular Burners Furnace with 4 annular zones to uniformize the billet temperature before the exit of the furnace.
  • Kautec Tapering: Traditional gas billet furnace used for the first part of the process. Permanent Magnets Heater to perform an accurate tapering of the billet before the extrusion.
  • Kautec Zero Emission: Electric Air Convection Heater for the first part of the process. Permanent Magnets Heater to perform an accurate tapering of the billet before the extrusion.

HOT SHEAR

Description

The hot shear automatically cuts aluminum logs to the precise length needed for extrusion.

HOT SAW + CHIPS SUCTION UNIT

Description

The hot saw is used to cut logs into billets of the same length as required by the customer’s specification, at the heating furnace exit.

BILLET POSITIONER

Description

This unit accurately centers and transports billets from the shear/saw to the billet loader for final press placement.
